How To Remove Pimples Overnight?

1. Honey:

What You Need
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons of honey
What You Need To Do
  1. Gently collect the honey in a bowl, and using your fingers, apply it over your pimples.
  2. Allow it to dry and leave it on undisturbed for about an hour.
  3. Rinse off with normal water.

  • ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon powder

  3. Leave it on overnight and wash your face in the morning with warm water.

Cinnamon is known for its excellent antibacterial activity that can treat acne (3). And honey, as already discussed, can kill the microbes that cause acne.
Caution
Cinnamon is often overlooked as an allergen. It has been found to cause contact dermatitis in some people. So, make sure you do a patch test on your inner arm to check if you are allergic to cinnamon.

3. Ice:

  • A few ice cubes
  • A soft and clean piece of cloth
What You Need To Do
  1. Wrap the ice cubes in the soft cloth.
  2. Rub the soft cloth on the acne-affected area for about 15 minutes. After that, wash your face with normal water.
When You Need To Do This
Do this every day for about 15 minutes. It is also effective in reducing inflammation.
Why This Works
Rubbing ice on the skin can contract the skin and tighten the pores. Also, ice sends oxygen to the affected area, thereby healing the scar tissue and removing any minor scars that are present (4).
Caution
Remember to not use ice directly on your skin, as doing so can cause frostbite and damage your skin. Also, ensure the cloth you use to wrap the ice cubes in is extremely clean and dry.

4. Toothpaste:

  • A little amount of toothpaste (with a low fluoride content)
What You Need To Do
  1. Take a small amount of toothpaste on your fingertips and apply it on your pimples.
  2. Leave it on overnight, and wash your face with cold water the next morning.

Do this before going to bed at night. Repeat this no more than four times a week.
Why This Works
The antimicrobial properties present in toothpaste might help in treating acne.
Caution
The best way to use toothpaste for acne is only as an emergency treatment, as there is no evidence of its long-term benefits. According to Dr. Rebecca Baxt, a dermatologist based in New York, toothpaste might irritate the skin and cause redness (5).
So, toothpaste could be used as a last resort for acne removal. Also, while using toothpaste for treating pimples, avoid teeth whitening toothpastes (as they contain bleaching agents that can irritate the skin) and gel-type toothpastes (as they have a different formulation and may not be effective in drying out pimples).
Remember to choose a toothpaste with a low fluoride content. Fluoride is added to most toothpastes to remove dental plaque, and is found to cause skin rashes in people who use it topically. Organic toothpastes could be the best bet in this regard.
