Aloe Vera (Aloe Vera Barbadensis) is a very succulent plant, green in color, with a clear white gel inside. It is said to be endowed with miraculous healing powers. 1) Acne:
The wonderful components of Aloe Vera have cleansing and anti-septic properties which act powerfully against bacteria, viruses, fungi and yeasts. As a result, Aloe Vera is considered a great cure for acne and for maintaining a glowing and fresh complexion.
Ingredients:
• 1/2 tablespoon of Aloe Vera gel
• 1 tablespoon of seaweed (kelp powder)
• 1/2 tablespoon of honey (raw honey)
Procedure:
• Mix all the ingredients together, and let the mixture sit for 10 minutes.
• Wash your face with soap and water, and dry it with a towel.
• Now apply the Aloe Vera mask mixture over your face (be sure to avoid your eyes).
• Leave the mask on for 15 minutes, and then rinse it off with lukewarm water only (no soap).
• Use this mask 2 to 3 times per week as part of your regular skin care program to enjoy glowing, acne-free skin.
2) Baby Feet Soft:
Make feet baby soft with an exfoliating foot mask by mixing together a half cup of oatmeal, a half cup of corn meal, four tbsp. of aloe vera gel and a half cup of unscented body lotion.
3) Constipation:
Aloe Vera is known to act as an effective laxative when taken internally, resulting in bowel movements which help restore a healthy balance of good bacteria in the colon.
• Mix 2 tablespoons of pure aloe vera gel into a glass of apple juice or cranberry juice.
• Drink this once a day for 5 days, either in the morning or before going to bed.
4) Aloe Vera for Sunburn:
Aloe vera has a gel or juice like portion with soothing qualities that are widely used for treating burns as anti-bacterial. Using aloe for sunburn has become more popular home remedy in these days. But make sure that it should not be used for treating severe burns and you have to check with your doctor, if you’re suffering from severe sunburn.
5) Wet Cough:
Two teaspoons of pulp fried in ½ teaspoon of ghee to which ½ teaspoon of sugar is added can be consumed to help cure a wet cough
6) Removing Corns:
Aloe vera gel is also effective in preventing and removing corns as it contains salicylic acid. It is also anti bacterial in nature. Apply the gel twice a day to get rid of corns.
7) Improve Eye Sight:
Take the pulp of Aloe Vera and add alum, put them in a thin cloth and hang over a vessel. Collect the water that drips from the cloth. This water can be applied over the eyes. It cures redness, itching and improves eyesight.
8) Rougher Patches:
For rougher patches mix together an organic salt skin scrub using two cups of sea salt, one cup of aloe vera, one cup of organic coconut oil and two tbsp. of local, organic honey.
